Welcome to Cregganneighbourhood.com
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness on a recent visit to the Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership premises in Central Drive, Creggan, in 2008.
Since its inception almost ten years ago Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership have helped facilitate and develop a large number of local community bodies and provided support facilities and shared resources for various schemes and projects in the Creggan area. In recent years we have co-ordinated a number of key events in the modern history of Creggan including the Creggan 50th and 60th celebrations and we continue to host annual community events - including the Creggan Festival/Feile, and a number of local sporting events (including the Creggan versus the rest of the world charity football match and the “Dober” Friel Memorial Trophy).
Creggan Neighbourhood Parnership have been kindly funded by the Community Investment Fund, part of the Voluntary and Community Unit of the Department for Social Development, to develop a new web presence to help promote the partnership and in an effort to encourage the community to participate in an interactive forum for discussion and shared opinions, generating new ideas and input into projects facilitated by the organisation in the Creggan area.
